What is operating system?
Operating system is a grouped of program
that controls all the operation of computer system and its components.
Operating system is software that is installed on computer hard drive that enables
the computer hardware to communicate and operate the all part of computer. A computer
can do nothing without operating system. Operating system must be installed on
every computer.
Operating
system on computer like soul in human body, without soul a human body is
useless as same without Operating system a computer is useless. Operating
system is most important for every computer system to do a best function.
When
computer turned on a operating system check all part of computer system are
functional properly. Operating system manages all operation on computer after
loading.
Type of operating system
There are three basic
types of operating systems.
- Single User Operating System
Single user operating
system allows only one user to use the system. The single user operating system
are also called "Single tasking operating system"
Single user operating
system allows the user to access the computer only one user at a time .Single
user operating system does not required the file protection and as
well as security .

- Multi user operating system
Multiuser operating systems
allow more than one user to use or access the system at a time. Multi user
operating system used more than one person at a time while running on a single
machine. The operating system should have to meet the required of its entire
user in balance way so that any problem would arise with one user it does not affect
by other user in network.
